Unfortunately, Debra was taken by ambulance to a local hospital on Monday due to an active bleed in her chest cavity. She required transfer to Weill Cornell for the second surgery. A blood vessel was bleeding around the area where the device was implanted last week.
Tuesday, doctors went in and made necessary repairs to stop the bleed. Debra is recovering from surgery and will likely be discharged on Thursday.
